We're here, this is it, we are now at the tipping point. Trump needs to backburner everything and go on a full scale get out the vote campaign. The choice is straight-forward and easy to present. Do you want to live in a country where anyone at anytime can charge you with criminal behavior, present no evidence or witnesses, and based solely on the word of that accuser you are assumed guilty? That is what the democratic party is offering. It's no more complicated than that. This has become so much more important than appointment of a Supreme Court Justice. The freedom and liberty of our country is at stake and we are under full attack by domestic enemies otherwise known as radical left democrats. It is that serious.

Pity they picked the one guy why had a form saying a president is above the law. So many others could have got through.

I think they should put Matt Gaetz up for the job next.

Buried inside The New Yorker’s bombshell story on a second woman coming forward to allege sexual misconduct by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, is a disturbing paragraph about the hard-drinking culture at his high school. The New Yorker quotes Elizabeth Rasor, who was in a relationship with Kavanaugh’s high school classmate and friend Mike Judge for three years, contradicting his claim that he couldn’t recall any type of sexual aggression toward girls.

Rasor, however, says that’s not true and is coming forward to contradict his claim. “Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t reveal information that was told in confidence,” Rasor said. But she said that “I can’t stand by and watch him lie.” The New Yorker summarizes why Rasor says Judge was being disingenuous claiming that there weren’t incidents of “rough-housing” with female students at Georgetown Prep:

Rasor recalled that Judge had told her ashamedly of an incident that involved him and other boys taking turns having sex with a drunk woman. Rasor said that Judge seemed to regard it as fully consensual. She said that Judge did not name others involved in the incident, and she has no knowledge that Kavanaugh participated. But Rasor was disturbed by the story and noted that it undercut Judge’s protestations about the sexual innocence of Georgetown Prep.

 
Wow, who could have seen this coming? It's almost like the dems were maybe stalling so they could pull out this at the 13th hour.

Maybe Grassley is just a dumb old Midwesterner trying to do the right thing and got snookered. Maybe that is why we voted for Trump, that we are tired of getting hosed repeatedly and getting the shoulder shrug from people who vowed to stand up for us.

Republicans are now fucked whatever they do. One side will be beyond furious with them. So they might as well do the right thing and chuck the hearing and vote to confirm this guy.
