The more I think about this, the more I believe we need a clean sweep. Simply delaying this SC vote isn't anywhere near enough. We must delay the November election entirely. All politicians holding or running for office need to be investigated by the FBI for any possibility of sexual assault in their past, or any behavior which may have had someone feel uncomfortable. A national effort needs to be put forth to give all women an opportunity to come forth with any allegations. We should not be electing people who may have pending or potential sexual assault charges, and yes, that includes Trump. We must be fair across the board.
Are we only to take these charges seriously when it applies to a man being nominated for the SC? Are not our other "leaders" in just as important positions? Are their alleged victims not worthy of being heard? We may also want to extend this into all walks of life. A woman assaulted by a janitor has just as much right to be heard as the one assaulted by a senator or judge. This new precedent either applies to everyone, or it completely dismisses all these other woman. Sorry honey, you weren't assaulted by a high ranking politician, so you don't count. Certainly that's not the message we want to send in the era of #metoo. How can you live with yourselves if we dismiss all these other women?
