Cool stuff. that's a hobby you never get tired off. there's so much to discover and enjoy in music. I love opera as well, although i can't listen to it for long, I find it too draining emotionally.
Your remark that it's never too late, made me think of Tiesto. At some point in time I was into trance/techno and was a regular at a shop in Rotterdam, where he worked behind the counter, but at the time I didn't know this guy was a dj. A few years later I lived in SF and was in a club in Miami and this guy from the store at Rotterdam walks in. He comes over to me as he recognizes me. I say what are you doing here? He answers I'm Tiesto, i'm playing here tonight. You can imagine how I felt.
