I posted "Figlio Perduto" earlier to this thread.

That song sounded familiar but the presentation seemed new to me. Finally figured out where I thought I heard it before. Is it based on Beethoven's 3rd Symphony?

Also what is it with screeching rock that makes it popular? Did the concept of melody die or is it too mainstream?

The most creative rock parody this side of Spinal Tap , had a 1995 release "No Quater Pounder" .
