Trump base be all like
Yes, I agree, voters were misled. Trump came down from New York City carpetbagging, talking about you’ve all been hoodwinked by a corrupt system and he is the only one who can fix it. And it will be so easy. You’re going to get tired of winning.
Here’s the truth, the coasts are getting all of the jobs and the rich are getting paid off and “flyover country” is getting flown over still.
A wall will not make any difference in crime or the economy of the rust belt and coal country. It was a scam because it really will take a lot of hard work and coordination between government and private enterprises to get these areas revived and a lot of people living in these areas are going to have to change their ways and skills to be successful.
But who wants to vote for hard work and cooperation when you’re being told by a billionaire from New York City it will be soooo easy you’ll get tired of winning.
The entire trump presidency is a crock of shit and a waste of time and money.
A wall would be a good idea.
It’s not the only solution to the problem - but it’s a big part of it.
It would Keep the dirty criminal fentanyl bringing murderer rapist scum from illegally entering the country.
Who would be against that?
Oh that’s right - the stupid fucking Dems.
Trumpy signed a horrible bill according to what I’ve seen. Not sure what else he’s got up his sleeve but this is not good.
What annoys me was Trump framing the wall as basically a cure all to illegal immigration. He could have reduced the disappointment of his base and his own ultimate political cost by changing course earlier. I imagine after Trump found a voter hot button with illegal immigration he came up with his wall idea. It is simple for his base to understand and thus easy to sell to them. Unfortunately, Trump and did too little research on what the key issues of illegal immigration were and in so doing caused himself to get locked into a losing issue.
Trump made a serious mistake that could ultimately cost him reelection. I still support Trump because overall, he is by far the best leader for us versus all the Democratic contenders. I don’t say this lightly because I am a registered Democrat. The following is a list of top Democratic primary contenders, prominent Democratic politicians, and a wildcard. On this list I put why they do not measure up to Trump.
Kamala Harris: Based on a video of her, it appears she believes political power eminates from the Government to the people. People are given their rights because the Government allows it. The United States was build upon the idea that its people are the sovereign and their representative Government derives its power from the people. Kamala Harris does not measure up to Trump because her philisophical is incompatible to the foundation of our Constitution.
Joe Biden: Although Joe is smart and a bit of a nut (Which I consider a admirable quality), he represents the establishment to me. Voter polls for decades have shown low scores for direction of country and trust of the Federal Government. Those who want US politics to change its course are likely to be disappointed with Joe Biden.
Beto O’Rourke: I see this guy as a shallow class clown who is hard to take serious with his sophomoric stunts. There are other ways to get voters attention. In addition, some in his own party question whether Beto can stand the heat of political battle.
Hillary Clinton: Hillary has probably the most impressive resume of this group. Although Hillary has been excessively beat down by the Republicans, my concern here is her blanket statements concerning large groups of people such as “basket of deplorables”. This was not her first such blanket statement and it was not her last. Each time she made one these type of statements, it hurt her credibility as a leader in my opinion. Whatever happened to tolerance?
Oprah Winfrey: I would readily vote for her if I felt she was generally free of Radical Leftist influences and thought she could handle Republican attacks reasonably well. Oprah is a successful business owner and her popular shows help people’s lives. It is my perception that Oprah’s personality and following are strong enough to overcome the Radical Leftist agenda.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Alexandria is the heir-apparent Presidential candidate for the Socialists. The Socialists have been gaining power over all levels of government over the last few years. In my opinion, based on demographic trends, I see Alexandria as ultimately successfully becoming President of the United States. She appears dumb as a rock now, but the Socialist’s will devote unlimited resources to her so she will become a viable candidate in the future. Besides, who gets more press coverage than her? It is like Trump when he was getting heavy press coverage when he was running in 2015 because of all his outrageous statements.
Bernie Sanders: Likeable, has a strong following, and perceived to have been unfairly screwed by Hillary in the primaries. Bernie may be a great guy, but my concerns are based on the company he keeps and his lack of experience in the business world. The driver of our exceptional standard of living is our entrepreneurial based productivity. Bernie is likely to push policies that dampen incentive for businesses or the wealthy to invest in the United States. Should Bernie win the Presidency, the monetary outflow out of the United States from his election to his swearing in would be breathtaking.
Trump has his own issues and has made several unnessary mistakes. Trump cares about our economic system and our freedoms. Further, he understands business and human nature well enough to be our best option for President in the 2020 elections.
