In a lot of ways I feel bad for a lot of trump’s supporters. A lot of them are people going through hard times, especially in the rust belt, and he made them feel like their problems were caused by people with brown skin, and the only way they could “win” or be “great again” was to build a wall.
These are people in situations that need assistance with retraining for new jobs and modernization of their regional economies. None of that was getting worked on because they put their faith in a gimmick.
It’s all been a waste of time for them. They must be so disappointed because this is real life for them and their situation is not getting better. We’re still losing factories, coal is not economically viable and there is no real investment in places like West Virginia, western PA. It’s sad.
My point is while we in the opposition, rightly defeated Trump on this stupid wall fiasco, a lot of people put a lot of their hopes for the future in this and their futures are not bright.
