I got out of my Meats spread today (07/29) before PBQ5 went limit down. In crazy markets like the pork bellies you always have to watch during the day or use a limit order not to get screwed into any limit up/down situation.

The limit rules are actually made to protect the trader. I personally think it does exactly the exposit because you can not get out of your trade. Well, maybe the exchanges do have something different in mind.

I got out a bit better today but will use the close price at 9.32.

I sold 2 PBQ5 and bought 2 LHQ5.

Hyp. profit on the whole trade is $9,096 - commission of $150 = $8,946.

The hyp. account is now at $46,676.

I did enter two new trades end of last week.

SU5 - CU5 ... looking good at the moment

LCV5 - LCG6 ... not looking so good at the moment.

I am comming up with the details later.

As mentiond already I did get into some spreads:

3 x SU5 - CU5 on 07/28 at 449, risk $1,000, idea correlation.

I took first profit at 406.5 with one contract and got kicked out with 2 contracts at 462 (I did put 2 independet stop orders in S and C).

Hyp. profit is $1,800 - commission $150 = $1,650.

I got into another one :-(

11 x LCV5 - LCG6 on 07/28 at -3.7 (terrible fill), risk was $300, idea correlation. I got out at -4.8 on 08/04 (this time the fill was ok on the close).

Hyp. loss is -$4.840 - commission $550 = -$5,390

Hyp. account is now at $42,936

Yes Guys, I did enter some trades.

I did enter WZ5 - CZ5 on 08/02 and got out with a small profit after a few days because the spread did not go my way (actually it did go nowhere).

I did enter SMZ - BOZ on 08/09, took some profit and got out today 08/12.

On both trades I did make more or less the commission. Not worth to go into details.

I did enter 7 x FCQ5 - FCU5 on 08/09 at 2.3 based on seasonality. Risk is $450. Last trading day of FCQ5 is 08/25. The spread moved up today but I am still far away from my first target at 3.2.

I took some profit yesterday 08/17 on my FCQ5 - FCU5 spread and sold 2 contracs at 2.5 in front of the meats reports tomorrow. I did want to go for some more profits today but at the end the spread crashed down.

Let me see how I can get out tomorrow. I will let you know about profit/loss.

I did enter 6 x EDU6 - EDZ5 on 08/16 at -0.15, risk is 250, basis seasonal. I plan to take first profit around -0.05.

Sorry to post my trade so late:

I did exit my FCQ5 - FCU5 trade with the last 5 contracts on 08/18 at 1.80.

Hyp. loss on all contracs -$1,050 - commission $350 = -$1,400

Hyp. account at $41,536

I am still in ED - ED and waiting, waiting, waiting.
