Yeah, the CyMods are all well and good, but I think OP feels like you shouldn't have to jump thru hoops to get something that runs properly right out of the box. That's what iOS offers and why there are so many fanboys. The only way you can get close to that on Android is to install a pure OS, like CyMod, or get one of the Google devices that don't install excess shit on top of the OS.I went with Cyanogen Mod on my Galaxy 3. Definitely prefer the open source OSes vs. overstuffed, bloated corporate stuff. The suits think that shoving weirdo features into phones sets them apart from the crowd. And for typical nontechies, they are probably right.
BTW, Samsung's Touch Wiz is bloated shitware
