I always thought New York city is too good for Amazon tbh. I mean Amazon, aside from administrative offices is just a bunch of warehouses where they pack boxes of stuff to be shipped all over the place. his is best suited for that's in the middle of nowhere that's got lots of space. Should we really free up prime real estate New York city that's got quaint neighbourhood community for that? I always thought New York is for "high-level" stuff like art, business, fashion and etc., so maybe lack of integration of local community is right. Seriously the way that Amazon just left the project is kind of insulting and disrespectful. It's like "I am the king you should be thankful that I choose you to take off my shoes. How dare you accuse me of not giving a s*** about you?" No business is ever big enough to think that way. A business to its community is always a symbiotic relationship, never a one-way street especially when Amazon is not really creating those jobs for free there; it's getting a grant of $500 million from the State of New York and state and city tax breaks that would have eventually totaled more than $2 billion, nothing for Amazon to be cocky about. For New York though, it shouldn't be this desperate. Really it's great if Amazon makes its home there. If not, there will be other companies and opportunities that will come along, perhaps more suited for New York. My dad always said "Always let others come to you and never go pander to others. Nothing good ever comes out of that".
