Rossi is demonstrably lying about at least some aspects of the e-cat - why?

Back on Feb. 23, Lewan had quoted incredible claims made by Levi.
“Minimum power was 15 kilowatts, and that’s a conservative value. I calculated it several times. At night, we did a measurement, and the device then worked very stable and produced 20 kilowatts,” Levi said.

I have changed my mind and seen the light. The man is a fraud! How could I have been so stupid, so retarded, so devoid of any critical thinking at all? I may never know.

I will sadly return to my previous quest of proving Bigfoot walks the Rockies. Or perhaps that the Greys walk amongst us. It seems sad to return to these endeavors. . . maybe I will get lucky and a Republican will win the Whitehouse. Then something major will happen and I can join that conspiracy movement. Yeah! I see this moving forward fast and furiously overseas.
I see the big stall coming for US commercial use. Maybe after 5 or 10 years of military testing and enough time for all of the Corps engaged in the energy business to hedge their interest we may see this technology. Too many deep pockets having too much to lose.

So it turns out Rossi peddled this tech to the US Army nearly 15 years ago. They bit on it. The device failed to meet expectations when tested by anyone nit named Rossi. Contract went *poof*.

I saw another video today where Rossi states they use some sort of device to verify the steam output is "dry steam" ( 100% vaporized) and not "wet steam" (containing some water). This partially answers one question I had.

One's waiting another 3 months isn't too long after waiting almost 22 and one half years for someone to demonstrate a CF product that is possibly marketable. We should have a good idea in a few months how well this device works.

That is a link to a video where Rossi says that, up to the time of the video in March, he has only spent his own money on development of the ecat. It's possible other arrangements could have been made since March, but the risk seemed to be all his at the time of the video.

The problem is the specific device cited is designed to measure something else entirely.

Here is the link to a scientist, completely independent of Rossi, who was able to clearly measure about 8 watts of cold fusion power using a Ni-H type of setup. It's possible that if this person was able to measure 8 watts, which might be close to the noise floor, the measurements in the kilowatt range done by Rossi might be orders of magnitude above the noise floor.
