Chester A. Arthur (1829–1886), 21st president of the United States, was rumored to have been born in Canada. This was never demonstrated by his Democratic opponents, although Arthur Hinman, the attorney in charge of the investigation, raised the objection during his vice-presidential campaign and after the end of his Presidency. Arthur was born in Vermont to a U.S. citizen mother and a father from Ireland, who was eventually naturalized as a U.S. citizen. Despite the fact that his parents took up residence in the United States somewhere between 1822 or 1824, Chester Arthur additionally began to claim between 1870 and 1880 that he had been born in 1830, rather than in 1829, which only caused minor confusion and was even used in several publications.Arthur was sworn in as president when President Garfield died after being shot. Since his Irish father William was naturalized 14 years after Chester Arthur's birth, his citizenship status at birth is unclear, because he was born before the 1868 ratification of the 14th Amendment, which provided that any person born on United States territory and being subject to the jurisdiction thereof was considered a born U.S. citizen, and because he was a British subject at birth by patrilineal jus sanguinis. Arthur's natural born citizenship status is therefore equally unclear.

Thank you, but that is the point of the argument. The US Constitution is a wonderful document but it is full of exclusions and special rights. To gather the intent of the founders who wrote the constitution is to find support in excluding classes of people such as the poor, women and people of color from their system of government. No doubt the founders would have found objection in people such as Obama as leader of this country and if you try to use original intent as argument for disqualifying a certain group of people, you may very well succeed in an argumentative sense but not in reality in a twenty first century world.

Again, that is not the original "Cerificate of Live Birth". Its a "Certification of Live Birth". That document was commonly issued to children born OUTSIDE of Hawaii.

[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.

(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.

(c) The fee for each application for registration shall be established by rule adopted pursuant to chapter 91. [L 1982, c 182, §1]

Also, until very recently the State Dept of Hawaii DID NOT accept "Certifications of Live Birth" as proof of being a native of Hawaii. Here is a copy of a "Certificate of Live Birth" from 1963. Its much different from a "Certification of Live Birth" which could have been issued at any time.

Also noteworthy is the fact that 2 newspapers published announcement of Obama's birth, BUT this does not mean much since both papers get this information directly from the Dept of Health, which issues the COLB.
 
A certificate of live birth can also be faked. Sorting this kind of thing out requires a decision maker with the vested authority to make the call. That has been done.

Edit: the diabolical beauty of conspiracy theories is that missing information serves as proof the conspiracy is working!

Yes indeed, getting to play in the "Elitist Club" goes back very far for obama. Thats right, obama's mother worked for Peter Geithner (Timmy boys daddy) at the CIA front Ford Foundation (scum bags)......DAMN, his grandparents were into CIA backed entities, his mother, his father.......it just does not end!!!!
