We will agree to disagree there. I give the benefit of the doubt, and have found that by doing that, the net result is positive.

We all have different tolerance levels, but when clowns jump on your journal, what you going to do?
I had an experience many years ago, driving a new company vehicle, a real idiot deliberately rammed me, side swiping the full length of the vehicle.
It was a wakeup call. Some fukkers are beyond it, just keep the fuck away, don't engage.
You're engaging with clowns on your journal (I assume as you're talking to posters I can't see or be bothered to see).
And its causing a negative reaction.
My suggestion: Walk away, if you're incapable of doing that, put them on ignore.
You must be from Australia or something, where you missed the bit where I typed that I do not do that.
Better for this to be closed and put pressure on the management to do something about this, than for me to bend the knee and deal with trolls and ignorers.

There is ONE thing they can do to keep this from happening...Remove everyone's ability to block/ignore in this, my journal thread.
But they CAN'T, and that is the problem. I would rather it be closed COMPLETELY, rather than be censored with the block feature.
@Overnight you're in the minority, the purpose of ignore / block is to eliminate trolls who are constantly wanting to be in your face, and it works perfectly imo.
Before the feature was introduced on ET, I recall lots of requests for it.
Another thing it did, took a huge workload off @Baron dealing with complaints.
