And then God said, let there be substance

The problem with that is if they do attack the repeal of Glass-Steagall then they're implicitly supporting regulation, which would of course be "socialism!"

For the same reason they don't complain about not one single prosecution from the 08 finacial crisis. They expose the whole corrupt relationship by doing so. Lip service is the best we'll see

Probably this was a deal that was "negotiated" in a bipartisan way. But I agree, it would be self-incriminating for the Republicans to go there.

Thing is, Trump is just (ab)using the Republican __system__. He is not really Republican, but an Independent.

If that isn't clear by now, I don't know what is.
That said, I did say Republican, but I meant to say Trump so I also made a mistake.

Republican Texas Judge Officiates Gay Wedding, Comes Out As A Democrat
“You’ve heard the common expression a thousand times: I didn’t leave my party; my party left me. And it’s true.”

Terry Jennings is now the only Democratic justice on the Texas First Court of Appeals after he quit the Republican Party and switched his party affiliation on Saturday.

The turning point for Jennings was in January, when he officiated a same-sex wedding and realized that he just didn’t belong in the GOP any longer.

Jennings told the Houston Press that after he had decided to preside over the wedding, he heard from many people who told him it didn’t seem like something a Republican judge would do.

“[T]hat’s when I started thinking, ‘Well maybe I’m not in the right party then,’” he told the news outlet.

Jennings had been thinking about becoming a Democrat for some time, and he began to think about it more as his children ― who are in high school and college ― asked him how he could still identify as a Republican with everything going on in the party these days.

Jennings announced his party switch on Saturday at a Democratic Party fundraising dinner, saying he feels like the party he knew has changed too much.

“As the father of two daughters, and the son of a woman born before the ratification of the 19th Amendment, I am equally excited that we are about to elect our first woman president,” he said in his remarks. “Too many Republicans are not. I appreciate and embrace that we are a nation of immigrants, of individuals of many different faiths and ethnicities — all one people under our Constitution — all of whom are guaranteed equal protection under the law. Too many Republicans do not.”

Jennings has been a justice on the court of appeals since 2000.

So, vote Drumpf?
I have been asking myself, what if Trump wins. What should he do? Exactly what Clinton should do - reach out across party lines; listen; make clear to the American people the mistakes they made during the campaign and that they will not be acting in any way to harm America.

Isn't the goal to function? Right now all we do is obstruct. As I have said before, If Clinton wins she should:

  • Pick a very centrist Supreme Court judge
  • Work across the isle to rebuild American Infrastructure
  • Work on rebuilding certain parts of Defense
Same if Trump wins. Those should pass without much friction. They are warmup for harder issues, but maybe, just maybe people can work together.

I am so sick of this party crap.
