Quote from RCG Trader:
The GOP is in deep trouble either way. Their base does not want Romney, the mainline does not want Newt, not do they really want Paul, because they cannot control him.
If they smarten up and take Paul, He takes Obama's youth vote and almost all independents. It's over.
Anyone else will not be able overcome the raw power than an incumbent has.
The dems are running against Mittens. I think that is the best move at this stage for them.
I see Paul's hurdle as that CR act of 1965, that he has publicly said that he would not support. The media, and I mean all of them, will pull this card if Paul gets strong, especially with this furor going on about voter ID cards.
He had better be ready to answer this well. Ron Paul is an honest man, which means he has no friends anywhere in power currently.
No friends at CNN, which is center left, no friends at msnbc, hard left, no friends even at Fox( which actually does surprise me a bit).
So he has a very uphill battle.
Paul does have at least one friend on the Fox Business channel -- Judge Napolitano of Freedom Watch. I'd like to see him on the Supreme Court.
