He isn't getting the nomination and he will run as an Independent. Which I assume is possible even though he is a Republican.
Quote from ratboy88:
i was thinking that also.... he will already have all the workers in place in every state.. getting him on the ballots should be no problem. (if and when that time comes) he has already said he would not run as an independent but i think if his support continues to grow exponentially and the mainstream finds some way to cheat him.... i think the people will then "draft" him to run as an independent. can you imagine that... 2 corporate shill candidates sucking each others votes away and a constitutionalist getting the protest votes!!!
meanwhile he rides the free exposure of being a Republican candidate for now.

Yes I have. And i`m a lifetime LP member.
I believe the system is broken. Just the fact that a candidate needs 25-50mm to compete is BS. There should be a cap on all funds spent. I think the cap should be the same number as the Presidents current salary. No commercials on TV or Radio. Live debates on public access, internet and printed news only.

Great idea, hugely important step toward reclaiming our representative democracy, but it's going to take amending the US Constitution. So let's amend it!
Quote from Pa(b)st Prime:
Restrictions of virtually any kind are hardly a LP tenet.
I would strongly doubt Rep. Paul supports campaign finance restrictions.

This is true.
But for the sake of our democracy they may have to bend. What will it come to? In 2050 the only people able to get a nomination are billionaires???
