Analysis of Christopher Hitchen's argument against God

tweedle dum and tweedle dee.
The sock puppets come out for stu again.

you will notice similar phrasing.
and how they always show up for stu and say things like Stu you are the greatest.

Stu do you have proof the universe was not made by a Creator?
You once admitted you did not know the answer to the question... is there a Creator?

So why all this sophisitry?

what i admire about stu he has rapier insight, and when you try your clever smartypants rhetoric he beats you there too :D

"You asked me if I know. I said Sure. I gave you my answer. It's not a claim."

So someone asks you if you know, you say "sure" and now you claim that your claiming to know was not a claim...

"I make no claims about my knowledge."

But you are making a claim to knowledge ("my knowledge")...unless you don't really have knowledge...but you claimed to have knowledge.

Good thing to know though, that your answers are not claims to anything in particular, especially knowledge...nice admission of a lack of knowledge on the subject...puts you right at the head of the true believer turnip atheist class...

Quote from stu:

You say you're not asking me to disprove anything and I make no claims about my knowledge.

So why would you imagine there should be any reason for evidence of -not- when there is no evidence of -for- to begin with?

The problem longshot is you don't have any insight from which to evaluate insight...

Sycophant yes man...yes you are longshot.

talk about BS rhetoric..

just ask strait out in simple English what you want disproved?

but first you must define it, and you cannot (or willnot up to this point)

I'm not asking you disprove anything...I am asking how you know God does not exist.

I have defined God, you already know that.

If you don't understand what I have defined, ask some specific question that you need clarification on.

david hume has already refuted your god quite some time ago.

i gave you his refutation...which part do you not understand..perhaps I can help you getit?

No, actually David Hume never refuted Totality.

Now, can you actually think for yourself, and tell me what you don't understand.

David Hume isn't here to speak for himself, you are not equipped to speak for him...so speak for yourself.

By the way, a quote from David Hume and his dissertation on "The Natural History of Religion."

"The whole frame of nature bespeaks an intelligent author."

Quote from stu:

It's fatuous to claim someone must have all the information in the universe to know if God exists or not. How do you know it is correct to claim that ? Do YOU have all the information in the universe?

I never made any claims to be so knowledgeable - but then I never claimed to know with Certainty about the existence/non of God.

Who did?

The question of God is almost as old as mankind - but you are saying you, in your limited knowledge of the entire of this (or other) universe(s) have the answer.

Have you ever been wrong? If you say "No", you are a liar. If you say "Yes", then what would make you think you can not be wrong in your Certainty on such a question as old as that?

Would you say you are infallible?

Because, you know, there is supposedly only 1 Being who could claim that.... :D
