i tried saxobank .. its showing 15 min delay .. thats worse than the one i had before .. the only positive i see here is rates update automatically ..

i feel delayed quotes trading is valid cause over long term its the same .. i get delayed fills and delayed exits .. so they average out

but please help if u can give me a live site or source

i hate to miss chances like this. but its better to lose opportunities than money. lost the chance grappling with trying to get data feed.

for some reasonwhatever i download gives delayed quotes free demos ... im ready to pay a bit for it but can someone help so that i can get going right away. i cant wait to trade real time ES

my aim was to paper trade ES here .. i trade real money futures profitably in india but want to experiment and learn how ES behaves for some weeks...

why the h*** are quotes delayed everywhere at least by 10 min .. where i trade, we get live real time quotes all the time.

where can i get it live.. i dont mind refreshing the browser, which ive been doing all the time.. but where where oh where can i get live quotes. im even willing to pay a bit .. there are many who give if i open an account.. but i cant do that .. where can i get only ES data ???????

u see im going crazy :confused: :p

what is this delayed quotes all about ? is it not possible to get it from some pure ES futures data provider ?

this is just amazing .. ive decided to cool it today crash earlier... almost fell sick staying up all night here .. like sleeping at 4 am everyday :p

i'll resume my hunt for a data feed data provider whatever this big mystery is :)

You are having this problem because the exchange data (quotes) are the property of the respective exchanges (CME in the case of ES) and these exchanges do not allow the realtime data to be given out for free. There are mainly 2 ways to get realtime ES data.

1) Open a trading account with a Futures broker and you can get realtime ES quotes.

2) As you wrote above, there are several companies that provide realtime futures data for a charge. Some examples are eSignal, IQfeed, Tradestation, etc. You can pay them a monthly fee and get realtime data and charts from these companies. Google to search for their websites.

In both of the above cases, the data come in 'streaming'. That means that it constantly updates itself and you do not have to 'refresh' after every few seconds.

Do a forum search here on ET to learn more about data-providers and datafeeds.

Thanks to some friends here.. Ive been told esignal is good for just data cause im not sure bout the implications of opening a broking account in the US.

Any other feedback is welcome. Till then probably there is no point in trading :cool: . I'm completely convinced and so are some keen followers who are supporting me thro PMs.

I have returned more than 75 % after commissions by earning net almost $ 150, 000. I think a lot of traders would be happy doing even 1/10 of that (forgive my "fact hurts" thingie), even considering the heavy margin reqmts.

if any of you require any info pl dont hesitate to ask .. . here in india my main focus is on teaching so i never ever will stop doing that no matter what..
