the S n P index is subdued. it will exciting again when there is a real break out. long im comfy .. shorting is my thing .. so cant wait till this run ends... but in the mean time i'll collect some $$ from longs and shorts intra day small moves. so $ 60000 is not bad so far in 4 days i feel with hardly any movement in the index.

A: what is the point to all this ET posting about
you fantastic profits ?

B: there is a "chat " feature on this ET website

perhaps you can make some "live calls" for a week

sometime and show us ordinary folks what
a real trader can do who has the markets beat
for big $$$ daily

i repeat, yes the nth time .. im doing this for a reason... the country where i live i pay huge commish, taxes, but v v successful trading by the standards that the posts on ET point to....

i dont know if i can participate in chat and then the calls will be lost .. in the forum threads form ..it will be there for a while for all to see including me .. believe me, you will see better trading from me .. better than $ 61000. i got only a couple of good opportunities from the time im trading..the index has been more or less sideways....

i know the critics here are several and quite caustic .. i have to fight to convince anyone .. the only way to do it at one stroke is through $$ profits plain and simple ..

May I ask: What's your point? What do you want to accomplish with this journal? What do you want to prove? Why?

many many people asking so here goes.

ok here goes. There are too many posts asking the reason why i'm doing on the forums posting profits again and again instead of making money elsewhere .. im not too sure what the rules here are exactly so i will be careful.. please help ..

1) I am not from the US and the country where i trade (a top ten one in terms of market cap and turnover) i believe and i have proven i am the No. 1. i feel i can easily be in the top 10 in the US in mechanical trading. in the country where i trade, the market is still quite immature, v high prohibitive commish, taxes .. compared to say the US or some european markets ..
i am taking time to get my feet wet in the US futures markets and then i will consider my options. this is one of the way. for me its an investment (of time). i am sure this year i will have made a visit to the US and hopefully make the same kind of trades and since right now i am working on a dial up line and delayed quotes, my results will be much better ;-)
i look forward to your help, help from anyone for that matter.
about the investment of time, i have reasons to believe it works

a decade back i sent a newsletter to a broker free for three months only 6 months after i had started trading .. he hired me with what is worth $ 60000 (in the US) but here $ 7000 (a princely sum, retained my day job) for 2 hrs a day work.
a year later i bought a home and a car ... which is like utter luxury here ..

after 3 years i now am on a level of arnd $ 35000 total earnings here (equivalent to arnd $180000 US) . . yes only 35 k since i cant scalp here ... which is my strength .. i have to forcibly trade swings or worse .. invest eeeeks

now this shd be my third jump and i want to make sure its neat...im almost there .. i have several offers here and a possibilty of my own office .. but want to try the Mecca of trading .. NY or Chicago on contracts .. or prop firms but its almost impossible getting an offer from the US applying from here especially in trading but im dead sure i will make it this year even if it is investing my own money to come and do something there .. i have a friend in Buffalo (NY) that may help ... keeping my fingers crossed.

does that explain ... ?

hello ... can you name the country and show us why you think you are number one trader in this country ?

surely if you are talented money making machine
you would have thought of managing other people money and been written about in your country's
media somehow ...

i know there will be more questions in some minds .. so here is more ..

3 years back i made what i feel was an imperfect choice
i took up the job of building a branch of a broker .. i had to do it to shift my profession from another line ... getting a break here in my country into a profession of choice suddenly is not easy at all ... if you want numbers .. i have not seen a single ad of a requirement in a prop firm . ... how bout that for facts ?

i dont like to leave a job already taken
i stuck on .. and got many hundred clients .. traded many days with lots of disturbance (here, clients sit behind us !! can u believe it ? the world is different at diff places :P) i am now ok to hand over since its now a v profitable office with 2 more branches ...
managed portfolios .. taught .. wrote books ... and the pressure of managing a profit center. .. but i am now v clear what i want to do ... so i have started looking at something more precise with regards to wht i want to do ...

many on the forums here have tried to criticize and pull me down .. im an Engineer and Operations Management MBA (which means i tend to optimize anything i touch and do for a reasonable amount of time) i feel i am now 98 % trade optimizing .. so its v difficult for people to believe i can be so profitable .. but believe me, you will see again and again its all true ! even with a slow dial up a P 3 comp and delayed quotes !

i really hope to convince you guys and get you on my side .. cause i can really do with some help right now :).... but im prepared to do what it takes to get there ... so those who still want to try and pull me down .. keep it up .. the world is a boring place with angels only

you wrote books on trading ? name some of them for us ... maybe they can be bought on the amazon site?

or can you get a USA distributer of the books ?

you know some folks make more money

selling their trading books , seminars , chat rooms

"winning methods" than from trading

is this your goal ?

funny .. i know that ... i intend to do both.. but i love trading .. would always prefer the direct way .. i dont think i will ever have to resort to the indirect ..

not yet on amazon .. i give free with my training courses ....
getting to a distributor too is v v tough here .. perhaps you can help ;-) will give you a part of the royalty .. he he !
