i made gross profits of some 130 000 here the last few weeks .. and i pay around 126 000 in commission and 6 types of taxes !!

they have killed scalpers here in 2004-2005 by introducing another huge tax ..

in the US and i think London too .. the commissions and taxes come to 22 000 no more ..

all my figures are in INR currency.

OK guys. i did some paper trading here on this thread few months back.
I have done real money trading in india from a few years but this is the first time i have done it in detail.
im attaching the results ..
note : all numbers are in Indian Rupees
roughly the conversion is 1$=Rs 46.5

Can someone help me how to calculate sharpe ratio ?

Just to give an idea.
Scalpers have no chance here. The expenses are 9.8 times in the US/UK even at the retail scalping level.

So u guys have it real good there.
And as I have said earlier, I will try to be in London by Oct.

$ 770 000 is possible right now (my conservative calculation) with the resources i have. more is poss if i m funded so im excited. if anyone can help me i'll b very grateful. i can take a test even.

Can't you open an account from India in the US? Is it against the Indian laws?

If not, that's what I would do in your place:

Find an Indian American whom you trust and who lives in the US. A relative or friend could be the best.
Open an account under his/her name, and trade it. He/she would get a few bucks from you for the inconvenience of extra trouble at taxtime or a % of your profits. It would be still much cheaper than trying to trade from India...
If he/she visits India a few times a year profits/funds can be moved in cash personally...
 
Im not sure about the taxation.
But the problem is these results are for scalping and I need at least a seat in a prop trading firm. Connectivity is a big issue. I just cant afford bad connectivity. Ive had nightmares earlier.
The ideal way for me is for someone to sponsor me I can repay in no time. Ive been doing this for years and i know im doing it the right way.

Please let me know if you can introduce someone u know that can sponsor .. kinda employ almost..

London i think is a better chance for me. Anyone in london ?
visa i get quicker. im working on that but my dream is to be in NY/Chicago. My calculation is that if im backed for 5 contract scalping I am at a $ 770 000 level. and in multiples of that depending on higher number of contracts.
