I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the delayed quotes (first on the actual cash-market index value -- why wouldn't his broker have real-time L1 quotes?) and evasive answers on real vs. paper questions posted prior to mine have sparked my skepticism. Regardless, he's made several good calls on the S&P during the past few days; however, if he's only papertrading then it's really just a testament to his abilities as an analyst rather than a trader (I checked, and the domain eliteanalyst.com is available!) and the dollar/contract amounts are irrelevant and misleading.

Hopefully, he'll set the record straight.

Jango I could make good calls all day with paper trading it means nothing! This person claims he is trading 200 contracts per trade and his broker can't even give him live quotes!

I must be stupid to even waste my time with this thread, but I can't stand liars!

This is another fine example of an evasive answer, as he completely ignored my question about papertrading versus real money.

Mishwar, given that I've read quite a bit of your journal, I know already that you're "half a world away". Telling me that you're not from the US, in fact, doesn't tell me anything at all. Unless you are submitting orders by clairvoyance or carrier pigeon (perhaps those are common in your part of the world), there is some intermediary with whom you communicate who is directly or indirectly in contact with a futures exchange. Although I don't know for sure, I would guess most people who fill this role (they're called "brokers" here) have access to real-time market data and are in a position to relay such information to you when you place orders. Certainly, for the commissions that you must be generating, I would think they might make someone available to send you timely quotes throughout the day.
