How to Spot a Climate Alarmist Article on the Oceans

All climate alarmist articles on the oceans always have two themes:

• Always talking about zettajoules of energy but never mentioning ocean temperature increase (which is only 0.06 degrees over 50 years).
  
• Always comparing the heat content to a number of atomic bombs.

Yet the bottom line is that the temperature of the ocean has increased a mere 0.06 degrees since 1960.

Also - just how many hundreds of times are you going to post the above chart?

Since 1990 the oceans have have absorbed around 2 X 10^23 J of energy. Hiroshima atom bomb released around 6.3 X10^13 J, meaning that 3.2 X10^9 bombs need to be dropped since 1990 to equal the same energy as absorbed by the sun. 3.2X10^9 / 788400000 (time passed since 1990 in sec) = 4 ; aka 4 Hiroshima sized bombs for every second since 1990 would generate the same amount of energy as that absorbed by the sea from man made global warming. The excess energy absorbed arises from the fact that around 90% of excess heat (i.e. heat being contained/restrained within the atmosphere that would normally be emitted if the earth still had *nomial* Co2 amounts). I realise these gargantuan numbers don't really relate but unfortunately that is the way science works. Bottom line is the oceans work as a 'heat sink' and are critical in absorbing/releasing excess thermal energy and keeping a healthy equilibrium within our atmosphere. The amount of excess energy they are being forced to absorb is going to become a serious issue in the future.
