Welcome to the SplawnDarts swing trading journal.

What's being traded: a 1-lot in a variety of US futures. ES, ZN, 6E, 6J ZC, ZW are most likely right now.
When's it being traded: 24/5 - the plan is generally to be flat over the weekend to facilitate carefree recreation.
Typical holding time: ~24 hours
Methodology: fading breakouts that have been determined to be "uninteresting" by means of a proprietary indicator the details of which I will not share. Analysis is done on 30min bars. Losses are limited by stops held in the market and hand exits. Profits are taken at my discretion.

Current position is flat. First trades may come tonight.
 
Bought ES-12 to cover at 1681.25 @ 5:56 AM. Profit $437.50 nominal, $433.48 with standard IB commission structure.

That was a sweet trade. It went 10+ points without so much as a tick of adverse excursion. They won't all be that good :D

This was a case where having to sleep cost $100+. I find the advantages of swing trading make up for that though.
 
And sold at 1678.00, $25.00 profit, $20.98 after commissions.

Just didn't feel right that it wouldn't move 4-5 points on the opening volume. I'll probably regret that, but better safe than sorry.
 
Bought to cover @ 126'135 @ 11:20 AM MST

Nominal profit $171.87, something less with commissions (I traded on IB webtrader, so I'll figure it out when I get home tonight. It was ~$3).

Kicking ass so far...
