when the leaders of the united states of america commit treason it is the public's duty to remove them. go read one of the most important documents ever to grace the whole earth. one i consider to be sacred above almost all else. maybe you cant figure it out.. that doesnt surprise me though.

Finally we agree on something Ratsass. When the leaders of the USA commit treason, we should remove them. In fact, we have a process for it. On the one hand, it's called an election...we just had one. Democrats took over both houses of congress. Which brings me to another process for removal...impeachment.

So there you have it ratsass. Two houses of Congress with a majority of Bush haters. With a process open to them to remove this particular leader IF he has committed treason.

Importantly, our laws don't allow an individual in the military to decide independently that Bush has committed treason and that therefore, he is not going to war. Once YOU and YOUR REPRESENTATIVES have removed Bush, or alternatively, ceased the war, then this Lieutenant won't have to go. Until then, he is violating Article 92...an offense which carries a prison term. And by the way, we don't call court martialled officers heroes.

so how many innocent people would you kill to please a criminal organization? will you kill little babies and rip their arms and legs off their bodies? or maybe burn their whole body to the point where they are much better off dead? you will do this for criminals because you think the law permits it? you dont call court martialled officers heros but if they refuse to aid war crimes they are greater than you will ever understand.

When you make a post like this at least make an attempt to ground it in some degree of rationality. For instance, if you're going to call something a "criminal organization" (I presume this something is either the Bush administration, the military, or both), then at least make some attempt to show why it is in fact a "criminal organization".

Kill babies and rip their arms and legs off? Geezuz you moron. No one wants to kill babies. Sometimes in war it happens by mistake. No one does this purposely. If you have some type of evidence to the contrary, put it out there...but you don't.

While you may believe this Lieutenant is refusing to "aid war crimes", there have in fact been no "war crimes" illustrated either here in this thread, or elsewhere. All bullshit ratsass. This Lieutenant volunteered for military service. Prior to that, certainly he had the intelligence to think this decision over, to think about what it would be like to be ordered to do something that you may not agree with in principle. And presumably he came to peace with this idea, because he joined...voluntarily. No draft, no force...voluntarily. Having done so he is committed to an oath he took that he would follow the US Code of Military Justice. He went back on that oath when he failed to follow an order. And therefore, he is going to be court martialled by the military. Simple as that.

We have had many case of this type in the past. Usually what they amount to is a guy who becomes a chickenshit after he watches his fellow soldiers get injured and/or die...reads the reports...etc etc. My guess is that this is all this amounts to. It's not some high minded thing that he is contending or that you are defending. He's pure and simple a chickenshit. The military is going to courtmartial him...and he is going to prison. He's no hero.

By the way, ratsass....you been in the military?
