The "real" reason for the recent downturn is that Bezos has been distracted with completing his 150K combine guidelines. :D :p :cool:

Right, a guy who has created a company with a market cap of 140B in 20 years, and continues to revolutionized the shopping experience, is an idiot! Does he fail? No doubt he does, and often. Its the price you pay for taking risks and trying new things.
 
The entire retail sector is in trouble, and it's going to grow worse. The retail sector recession has not been priced into the market yet. I think we'll see all of them at much lower prices, WMT, CSCO, AMZN, etc... I look forward to picking some of them up at much lower prices.

The reason why we use it is due (in large part) to the unsustainable pricing. Prime is awesome, but a loser for the company. Yes, it probably contributes 20% to the top-line, but operates at a loss. I use Prime a ton, but less than in years past as I am now charged state sales tax. They are usually the cheapest option, but often it's a outside vendor selling the item, and therefore not eligible for Prime. Their Android tablets are gimped and you have to jailbreak to get to Google Play, and sales on those devices is plummeting. Amazon Prime video pales when compared to NFLX. Any decent title is a $3 rental. Amazon has a dominant position in cloud, but it's quickly becoming a commodity.

Has anyone here ever purchased an Amazon mp3?

When I see headlines like yours ("AMZN, is the dream finally over? "), in a forum or on the front page of a financial newspaper or magazine, then I know it's time to BUY more AMZN stocks... :p
