Thought I would add this in here.

My friend who is a doctor @ an Ontario hospital got pulled into a meeting today. Ontario is likely to go into a lockdown tomorrow. I would like to short the TSX futures but they don't open until 2am and the announcement could be as soon as tonight.

Are there any other trades I can structure at this current moment to take advantage of this?

Yeah, probably 60-100 ES pts, but you gotta be ready when the news hits. It's not something you can structure now as 100 is a rounding error in this mkt.

Ok i trade with IB and there very strict with margin which is irrelevant to me . Wow thats very dangerous for Amp. They could be wiped out overnight with a ton of positions

Gain hasn't sent me any notice of increased margin on spreads yet. Waiting for that shoe to drop.

They doubled their day margin for all contracts. I.e was $400 for ES, now $800

Most brokers/ FCM increased DT margins to 100% or more due to the crazy volatility.
We still have one platform/ set up we offer for futures where one can use the lower daytrading margins.
