AMP-MetaTrader 5 as IB alternative for automated intraday futures trading

entirely up to you. I just know I would rather my order sit on the exchange and not only on my terminal (or that of a VPS). that's not specific to MT5, but for any platform.

I agree. Here (in Brazil) many Take Profit and StopLoss orders has slippage (1 tick minimum).

Hello all.

For clarification, it is standard, nothing special, when you are trading Exchange-traded futures, such as CME ES or NQ...all orders are routed and executed on the CME exchange for all order routing services, such as CQG, Rithmic, and TT.
If you ever have any questions about any orders or fills, we can pull the exchange trade logs and provide you with full details.

AMP/MT5 is integrated with CQG for real-time data and order routing to/from the exchanges.
We support all trading types, including Scalping and automated trading.

Here is the link to all available order types on AMP/MT5 (this is a critical difference between AMP and other brokers' MT5 offerings, you need to check if the other brokers support all these specific order types - we have heard many are limited to market orders only): https://faq.ampfutures.com/en_us/metatrader-mt5-order-types-order-execution-logic-BkrMK0BFq

Yes, if you want to run algorithmic trading via MT5, you can use the Native VPS in MT5:
