AMP Europe ditching Level 2 futures feed...

AMP Europe was a nice option for EU customers,untill some manager decided to ruin it all
From 1st of May 2023,NO LEVEL 2 Exchange Traded Futures data is available for any customer...
Simply change to a different broker, and pay for the level 2 data.
No point in getting angry with AMP.
Negative Emotions will affect your trading.
I don't need level 2 data.
It is useless / worthless.

You using MT5? Apparently AMP dropped level 2 futures data for MT5 some time ago. I only noticed 2 weeks ago after dusting off MT5 to check something.
The real kick of it is that AMP owns MT5. Some guy at their help desk suggested I write an e-mail to Culp, who is the one who made the decision to drop it (according to him), IN THEIR OWN PLATFORM. Never got around to it, because it's not important right now. Was nice to have.
I was using Jigsaw's and MT5 as a bridge to it. All of my orders were going through Jigsaw's DAYTRD software and I was using sometimes MT5's charts only.
MT5 is one of the dozens of platforms available to AMP Futures clients. They do not "own" it.
Like I said, according to the guy I spoke with at AMP, they own it. Don't shoot the messenger.

oh, we have received very few complaints. Now all accounts enable for Exchange-Traded Futures get both CME and EUREX (level 1) included and saved our customers $ on the monthly exchange data fees.
Most our customers are using Expert Advisor (EA), Chart Trading or using the MT5 mobile, so the level 1 data was all that is needed.
And from a technical side, we have reported better MT5 performance during high volatility, high market volume spikes, due to the reduction of data updates to Level 1 only.
We can understand a few customers may be affected by this change, but from an overall perspective this is now in our opinion an optimal MT5 solution. You get CME and EUREX exchange-traded futures + FX and CFDs (all in one MT5 account).

How come you're still charging level 2 prices yet providing only top-of-book for USA customers?
I think it's a terrible decision to ditch Level 2 and make only Level 1 mandatory.At least make some others platforms available like sierra charts for futures traders.But again it's your business and you're gonna run it how you like it.We only have the choice to go wherever we find what we're looking for.
