Sept 23 near Asian Market open, I bought to open 1 ESZ4 @ 1974.00
DJIA down 264 pts today, not a day you want to be starting long ES! . . . It must have been Eric Holder's resignation that initiated the sell off . . . Because my system sort of averages in, I'm a buyer at these levels, waiting for a small drop to enter.
Sept 25 Near 6:15PM PST I bought to open 1 ESZ4 @ 1964.00, now long 2 ESZ4 @ 1969
Wow.. scaling into a losing trade to bring the average cost down.. impressive! You seem to be doing well so don't mind my amateurish comment and I am enjoying your thread. I am consistently losing money trying to learn how to day trade, so seeing your progress and profits via a larger time frame is great perspective for me!
At this point (me being long 2 ESZ4 @ 1969), its difficult to follow my strategy, my plan, and add to my (at the moment) losing position, but rules are rules, and there is no reward without risk . . . Today Oct 3, I bought to open, near Asian open 1 ESZ4 @ 1940.50. Current position - Long 3 ESZ4 @ 1959.50.
What a freakin month! Didn't see this month's volatility coming at all . . . I gave up watching during the second week, and added cash to account to avoid margin calls. I never doubted there would be a bounce though, currently I'm in the black (holding 3 ESZ4 @ 1959.50), and have had enough. Oct 26 at open - sold to close 3 ESZ4 @ 1960.25. Profit of 112.50$ I know ES will rise from here, seasonally and all, but I've had enough for now.
