Amibroker or Metastock?

I am looking at purchasing end-of-day stock trading software. Some requirements are that it will allow me to perform back testing, have excellent support and decent programmability (I am a programmer), cost $500 or less which both do, and provide excellent charting, functionality and flexibility. They both seem to have decent reps. I do not want software I rent on a monthly basis. I want to own it if I am going to put programming effort into it.

WHAT SHOULD I PURCHASE? Amibroker, Metastock or ?
