AmiBroker data advice?

I am considering purchasing AmiBroker for backtesting, but I presently do not have a data source for intraday index futures data. My present charting is through LiveCharts and my present broker does not provide downloadable data. I am changing to IB soon.

Does anyone know of a site that might offer some free intraday data suitable for just trying out the program?

Free intraday data that is also suitable for backtesting...no. You are going to have to pay for that. Good luck.

If you are talking about historical intraday data then you can go here:

You can download their software and import a few months into Amibroker to test it out. I have done it and their data seems to be pretty good.
