AmiBroker as research tool

Dear members.

I need to take a decision regarding a platform to use for creating strategies.

I considered R Statistics and Python, but I noticed that I had to spend a lot of time to find information around the Internet and I did not want to re-invent the wheel.

AmiBroker so far is the only valid option that comes to my mind since it supports MonteCarlo, WalkForward and Variable Space Optimization.

I would like to know what you think about this platform. I want to prove myself I can create something good before to invest more money with professional platform such as Tradestation and Multichats.

Amibroker is an excellent choice and its developer is one of the best. You can do things in Amibroker with a few lines that will take you hours of coding in R or python.

I like it. Have used AMIbroker for over a decade and it is still better than me :^) AFL has natively done everything I want ... (except multiple email address alerts - no biggie). Marcin is tops in my book for support. Courteous, prompt and knowlegeable.

Good investment. Go for it.
