The difference between America and other developed nations And part of its strength was the head start in capatalism. Period. If India would have started prior to 1991 when I think they started their shift to open markets everyone would be immigrating there. Maybe that’s a wrong assumption.

The Arabs, Chinese, Indians, Japanese, Vietnamese... have all been capitalists for generations. They were master merchants, shopkeepers, scientists, craftsmen, way before America. Just that none of them had a democratic government.
