The benefactors don't care, but to portray the US giving as some form of an altruistic mindset is a sham.
You find out real altruism when there is no personal gain...

how many of those "charity" amounts are simply a dodge to invest tax-free into highly politicized organizations, eg the dominionist jerry falwell liberty "university", the discovery "institute" - those are 2 i became aware of only recently - and all this sort of crap? anybody has an idea?
