Have American women let themselves go? There are millions of incredibly fat women in America.
Heck some parts of Los Angeles there are nothing but elephants on the street it looks like the Serengetti. Even with the Axiom, "the difference between a dog and a fox is 5 drinks" - its going to take a lot for me to bang a fattie. Somebody shoot me pls if I sink that low.

The first graphic is fine because it makes logical sense. The second graphic is absolutely ridiculous because it only shows women as being overweight while all the men stay trim and fit. It's a total misrepresentation of reality. If this were a realistic graphic, most of the men would be overweight and out of shape just like the women. Now the shaded red area and the yellow arrows would be the same, meaning that even the overweight and out of shape men would still be wanting the beautiful women.

i have to qualify though, skinny or fat doesn't matter to me. Polite, considerate and honest vs. rude, arrogant, impatient and demanding is more important. But, I'm already married for many years and don't care anyways other than the interaction of talking to someone and being friendly. I see so many skinny birds who are all so full of themselves, they just about push me out of the way with "hey, it's ladies first, asshole. Don't you have no f...g manners?" But then next day, I'll skinny birds who say, 'hey, do you need help carrying that heavy (whatever)?'

RE: speaking the language

My philosophy on living in a country, any country regardless poor or rich country, 1st world or 5th world, if I want to live there more than 6 months, the most prudent thing to do is learn the language for that is the price of admission to the CULTURE. 6 months is the threshold (for me)

AfterLOS has been pulled over for speeding perhaps 13-15 times in total over the last few years in Thailand - cop comes over, I see him in the mirror, and just as he arrives at the window, I wai him, say "sawat dee krap" - in an ogonblick he auto responds with a wai and lo and behold we be pals = no ticket, no warning, but a business card with his number on it and then he says, "welcome to Thailand, if you have any difficulties here, call me, I will help you"

That's one of the reasons (of countless others) why Thailand is called the Land of Smiles and in AfterLOS opinion, God's country

I agree, I saw so many idiots with attitude that somehow being western they were the better people and insist on speaking English, talk down when the person didn't understand. But, come on, you're a guest in another country, fully by your OWN choice and no extraordinary condition, and can always leave, so least you can do is show some consideration and at least try to learn the culture and language and take care of yourself, not stay rigid and expect them to cater and serve you.

So anyways, when I meet someone who doesn't speak English that well here in the US, I try my best to give them a break. Learning a foreign language to interact natively is hard, I set out to see what the effort was and now know -- it's hard !! And I will always remember how Thai people were very forgiving of so many screw ups, and even strangers trying to help me learn, always with a smile and honest heart.
