According to JAMA (The Journal of the American Medical Association) and several other sources, nearly 30 percent of women in the 18-25 age bracket are mentally ill. On top of that, since many women with mental illness go undiagnosed, those figures could be upwards of 50 percent.

There seems to be an epidemic of mental illness, particularly among white, American women. A whole generation of women have been brought up in households that foster this kind of behavior. Just look at some TV shows that feature obviously mentally ill women. "The Real Housewives" series is a prime example. It's scary for men to think that one in two women they might date are going to be mentally ill.

I'm dead serious. I know so many husband/wife combos that fit the description you mentioned above that there is absolutely nothing unique about your situation. The husband works and the wife takes care of him, the home, and kids if applicable. For you to say that there are no women in america who fit that exact role is just ridiculous.

We be talking about a TREND underway - go back to the 1930s, 1940s, 50s 60s etc. start from there, review the family values and life as a strong unit extant during those periods of time and then move forward and you can't miss the giant steps in degradation. Yeah Baron, that TREND reversed a long time ago and the current BEAR-market in the FAMILY UNIT has taken its toll to such an extent as to 60%+ Divorce rate and the crappy attitudes of women in today's America. That is the subject of this thread
