Big Island, Hawaii could be the 3rd component in my formula for LIVING, namely

USA + Thailand + Big Island = match made in Heaven

it is 70% more costly than California but I don't give a f___k. Its God's country.

but Hawaii is a part of the USA, right? LOL right and wrong. Hawaiians don't want anything more to do with anybody from the mainland USA. So why am I accepted easily there? Because on the plane from Honolulu to Big Island my first trip, the lone pure Hawaiian beautiful young woman on the flight took pity on me as she saw me fumbling with my Big I maps - in her late 20s married, she took me in as a friend, intro-d me to her husband and countless other family members and friends and associates and voila the doors to Hawaiian culture and society opened for AfterLos.

I live in northern Thailand about 45-min flight from the vibrant city, Bangkok or 8-hr drive. Go there often.

Excellent food choices, entertainment galore, transportation via Skytrain & BTS super efficient, accommodation excellent and inexpensive, movie theaters, malls, food courts, parks, etc., the works. Bangkok has it all in spades

One stunning difference between Bangkok and a standard American city, Los Angeles for example:
Life buoyancy in all its colors and glory in the former, Death in the latter
New York city is the only exception to the DEATH atmosphere in stateside cities

I've heard there are numerous flights going cross country as the prices are right. Can't beat that, if true.

And yes, the food... I can only imagine! I do love thai food. Spicy, sweet, salty, somewhat sour, basically the epitome of hitting the taste buds from every angle!

Accommodations, I've been all evening on. And damn!!! Pure luxury can be found very, VERY CHEAP! I compared a jaw-dropping resort in Phuket to a similar resort in Hawaii, and the numbers are $101/night, and $697/night in Hawaii...

Bangkok, I can imagine has everything, and more. Read up on the city, and was overloaded with all going on there/things to do.

And for the women, Ive never been "into" Asian gals. I like almost every type but Asian gals. That's a quandary since I'm single and 42. Also a quandary reading the email my Dad's Friend returned today. Apparently, extreme caution needs to be exercised, as "a man could wind up married in the blink of an eye, and even though it's cheap, supporting her family." Ouch! And NO, I'm not getting married ever again. Sorry. And are there any females there close to my age that are even available, or haven't been married a dozen times? I'm not really concerned with the dating scene there, but would love to visit, and am being told I'd probably go home, sell assets, and fly right back, lol.

Good Lord! I just got to this page.. I emailed my Dad's Friend yesterday, and demanded to know what he knew about my Dad. Told him he and my Son promise to fly there this Christmas if he'd tell me what the hell I don't know about Dad, and right now! Lol! Wish I hadn't, but couldn't help wonder. Apparently, Dad liked the taller Asian gals, and may have had one in-country, who was more than just a friend, or simple ___. In addition, two taller g/f's at once? I thought the pics I saw were of local gals who had been helped, and thankful. Gullible, I was.. Guess I'll beat the rest out of his Friend (lol), when I get there in Dec, as at this point, didn't really know my Dad like I thought.. Very perplexing to be candid.

And yes, the chick you posted looks like a taller one. Even though she's hot, I'm not sure what emotions to have, lol!:eek:

Flights from stateside to BKK = $1200 economy - I use my points to go business or 1st class

flights from LAX can be via Hong Kong, Tokyo or Korea - take Korea and during the layover, pick up some Korean pussy in town, at any 5-star hotel, just go to the bar, order a drink and they'll hit on you, then pay the short-time fee for the hotel or a hotel within walking distance or cab and you're rolling

I subscribe to International Living magazine its generally good stuff in that they bring to your attention tax consequences, crime rate, banking features, property values, business issues, visa issues etc. for many, many destinations worldwide. But they are frightfully slow compared to catch on. It took them 2 decades to really discover northern Thailand to the extent the latest article does.

Madagascar too, ILM, they haven't a clue how awesome it is, high crime rate notwithstanding
