American cities that are running out of people

denner are you a kkk member or sympathizer?

While a greater percentage of blacks create crimes than other races, the majority of crimes in the United States are created by a combination of races other than blacks...simply because of their numbers. This has always been the case in the United States.

While criminals in the black community have definately helped various cities and urban areas to decline, blaming the overall condition of these cities only on them misses the picture. If they were the only cause, then the politicians bear responsiblity for spending the cities and states into bankruptcy making welfare payments and for not punishing criminals appropriately. The black population is not enough in any state to keep the politicans from doing those things.

The article blames the lack of jobs for the declining population of cities. Sorry, I'm not falling for that one.

We are a very mobile society and will commute whatever distance is necessary for a job. If city life was so great we'd commute to the burbs for a job and vise versa.

The problem with cities is the school system. You want middle class (or any group of people who have a choice) to live in the city you better have a safe commited school system for starters.

The subject of the article is about population, not the downfall of the US or skin color. Population growth changes are the result of births plus immigration less deaths and emigration. Your rant is not related to population change and shows you to be a race-obsessed idiot.

Gee, you never heard of "white flight"? Flint, Michigan is a good example for starters. But we won't go there.

there.....that's better.

I don't disagree. We have a thriving white collar criminal class operating at the top, while the streets of many cities are held hostage by gangs, thugs, etc, etc...

Detroit could have the best school system in the nation, and people still wouldn't move there without jobs. You have cause and effect and reversed. Great schools result from people paying a lot taxes because they have high paying jobs. The jobs come first, then the schools.

Democrats and and their union supporters have controlled most major cities for 50 years or more. Their policies ensure that major employers will eventually leave. This will not change any time soon.

Exactly right. Roark is living under some set of delusions.
