I think there is a pretty good chance that this sways the few Republican senators who still have an inkling of a conscience. My hunch is the confirmation vote will be delayed and if it indeed proceeds there is a good chance the vote does not go through.

The prudent thing would be to delay the confirmation vote.
Or they can go ahead with the confirmation vote and suffer the consequences in the mid-terms.....
