Sure. Any highly influential book deserves a read. I'm even planning to read the Turner Diaries when I'm in a strong stomach kind of mood. Anybody else here read influential books they know they'll disagree with?

a religious person might say that by taking "in god we trust" off money, it's making an atheist statement.
NO, IT IS NOT.
it would be, if it was replaced with something like, "in no god we trust."
(MOST) ATHEISTS AREN'T ASKING FOR THAT. WE JUST WANT TO BE FREE FROM RELIGIOUS BELIEFS IN GOVERNMENT AND HAVE IT BE INDEPENDENT OF ANY RELIGIOUS OR NON-RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.
it is truly the only fair way to go and it doesn't matter if 89% don't want anything to change. most of the 89% were brainwashed anyway.

Freedom of religion means freedom to practice the particular religion of choice. If you want to practice the religion of Atheism and Science, feel free hang a slide rule or calculator from the Christmas tree.

btw, as i have said before...WHY SHOULD WE HOLD ON TO OLD, DEFUNCT BELIEFS? if the constitution said the sun revolves around the earth, why the hell should we still hold on to that? religion is the same thing. at the time, their science sucked, so religious beliefs were THE explanation for many. INTELLIGENT, NON-BRAINWASHED PEOPLE KNOW BETTER TODAY; I GUESS YOU DON'T. it's time to move on...
