I say dissolve the entire MPD. This is what BLM wants. Let them be the experiment. They will reap what they sow.

In fact, they should just declare George Floyd Square and the surrounding towns a "Purge" zone, where nothing is illegal. Not even a capital crime. Let's watch that play out, shall we?

I don't know who the shooter was, of course. But I'm guessing the perp was someone local to the area who interacted with someone else from the area near George Floyd Square.

The entire community there is criminal. They have engaged in criminal mischief by blocking entire intersections with the memorial stuff. Those stores in the background? Those businesses are tits-up man. They are out of business. And so are all stores in a whatever-radius of that place. It is poison!

Doesn't matter though, because we give free money to all those fucking freeloaders who have nothing else better to do than cause trouble. There used to be this thing called "having a job".

Portland police on Tuesday declared a riot amid a destructive downtown demonstration held on the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder.

About 200 people gathered Tuesday night outside the Multnomah County Justice Center. Some in the crowd lit fireworks and a dumpster fire, tagged the Justice Center with graffiti and broke windows at nearby Portland City Hall.


Some also threw water bottles and fireworks directly at police officers.


Police declared a riot about 10 p.m.



Marchers later smashed windows at locations including a jewelry and precious metals business, Starbucks shops, a credit union and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.



Portland Police said they made five targeted arrests Tuesday evening.



Portland Police said they found frozen water bottles, eggs and metal spikes after clearing the protest Tuesday evening.



A separate demonstration held earlier Tuesday featured a rally at Southeast Portland’s Revolution Hall, a march and a silent sit-in on the Burnside Bridge.



Tuesday marked the passing of a year since a Minneapolis police officer murdered Floyd, sparking an unprecedented push to address anti-Black racism across the country.



The killing, which was captured on video, touched off a wave of racial justice protests throughout the country and world, with Portland’s demonstrations spanning more than 100 consecutive nights.

Rapid Response Team just resigned from the team en masse.

I sure hope that replacing them with a team of emergency response aromatherapists, cranial-sacral massage therapists, and past-life regression analysts works out okay.


Must be nice to live in some place like DC where they will permanently post federal troops until unrest is quelled. But you know, this country was founded by people who felt that it was the politicians in DC that needed to be safe in their homes and places of business.
