America is on a high and why it can't compete

You can measure THC, but it stays in the system for a long time. So how do you punish someone who smoked up 2 weekends ago? And you can't differentiate yesterday's usage from today's practically speaking. But the difference in safety risk to the other employees is huge.

Most (if not practically all) companies have a zero tolerance for alcohol during the work day.

yes, I believe also in the fat cells months after. But standard tests would probably show decreased THC levels over time during urine tests or blood tests. Isn't that similar to an alcohol test? when you blow doesn't it show up right away and doesn't the blood still show much later after the affects wear off? Not sure, but the weed debate will continue until the alcohol and drug industry stop lobbying against the full legalization. If there's no blood tests or follicle tests than there are kits you can buy and do a cleanse so it doesn't show up in the urinalysis. Random tests and your screwed unless you carry a bottle of clean urine in your pocket:D

That's the issue with weed. Alcohol leaves your system pretty fast. Other drugs are blanket illegal. Weed is now in a gray area.
