Let's take a look at how far current liberals have diverged from these founding principles.
Freedom of speech (Shut down all speech that liberals disagree with)
Freedom of the press (Only allow press outlets that support liberal viewpoints to exist)
Freedom of religion (Tear down Christian religion)
Free markets (Bernie's tariff plan)
Civil rights (Microaggression assertions, privilege claims, entitlement, destructive riots with looting)
Democratic societies (Shouting "Down with the USA")
Secular governments (Well they have this still)
Gender equality (Gender equality only for genders they invent. Not for traditional males and females)
International cooperation (Only with leftest dictators such as Maduro)
Liberalism is akin to liberalism.
If you are seeing something else that looks like Communism to you, it is not longer liberalism.
Blurring lines only goes so far otherwise everything becomes demonised by one side or the other.
Oh yeah, that is what has happened.
I'd like to hear your plan for re-balancing the US so it better represents normal balanced people and not those who shriek the loudest on the far right/left.
Do you have a top few items of things that need to be reverse tracked?

Labels take on different meanings over time. "Liberalism" currently = Communism, large dictatorial government, government suppression of personal freedoms.
You seem to think "Liberalism is a good thing". Not for anyone who appreciates personal freedoms.
Liberal/Left = Socialism, Progressive-ism, Communism, Marxism, Nazism... AND the US DemoCrap party! They're all "cousins".
The antithesis of "Liberal/Left" is "US Constitutional Conservatism". Off hand I can't think of those principles existing in any country before the American Revolution... but it's what made America great. Unfortunately, it's being destroyed by the Liberal Left... just like everywhere else Leftism has touched.

I think there will be a growing market for unbreakable windows.
Someone needs to design a window that breaks and explodes outward, cutting the person breaking it.
