I've learned that cities with handgun prohibition are no safer than cities who respect the 2nd amendment. It's been illegal to own a handgun in Chicago for almost two decades. Chicago leads the U.s. this year in murders......

The numero unu correlation to violence remains racial demographics.....

Rural America here. Shops across the state are reporting brisk sales - assault rifles, large clips, combat shotguns. Guy at the shop I go to says he's still getting killed though - nobody will buy new deer and bird guns in this economy which is his bread and butter. He's getting slammed on used gun sales too.

Both parties at the state level are strongly pro gun but the state level DEM party is in a real jam over this BO/Pelosi gun control talk. They were out strongly in the papers saying there ARE NO national level DEM gun control initiatives being contemplated and all that talk is NRA/manufacturer generated BS.

I'm a DEM (this year anyway) and I dont believe what my state party is saying - gun control in some form or another is coming under this admin.
