and republicans think it is not man made?

A majority of scientists are not climate scientists.

So explain to me where you can go to college and get a degree in "climate science" - where is it printed on your diploma that you are a received a "Masters of Climate Science".

"Climate Scientists" is a magically term created by the AGW fringe so they could only include a small select group of scientists that support their opinions while dismissing all others who do not support their opinions as "not being Climate Scientists".

ha,ha, We've been doing that for centuries with degrees in economics

They're employees of the gov't, dumby. Each congressman and senator isn't a stand alone small business.

I don't know where you could come up with your screwball definitions of everything, but maybe you ought to try zerohedge to straighten that wacky thinking out.

Oh!, are you confused about the law? You see, the House and Senate employees don't work in a State, and many of them live in DC, rather than one of the surrounding States. So how to cover them under one of the Health exchanges. DC Health link was set up for that purpose. It covers individuals and families as well as small businesses with 50 or fewer employees? The logical category for House and Senate offices is the small business category, wouldn't you agree. Or would your rather just have the House and Senate give themselves the privilege of opting out of Obamacare. :D Oh, and don't forget to practice your song.

DC Health Link.........

Both of you have good points. Most scientists are not climate scientists, and there is a lot of wiggle room in the category "climate scientist". What bothers we most is when I hear such nonsense as "an overwhelming majority of scientists believe in climate change". This is a statement used by people with a particular agenda because they know the words "climate change" have been co-opted to mean "Hansen's CO2 hypothesis". But since all scientists believe in climate change, then can claim the statement is true, while not admitting how absurdly misleading it is. Or almost as ridiculous "An overwhelming majority of scientists believe in global warming"! This is probably an exaggeration. It states that most scientists believe we are in a warming period. But what does this have to do with Hansen's hypothesis??? What's important is not that most scientists think this or that, but that some scientists, who are experts in the field, don't agree. THAT should give us great pause. The only scientists that should have any standing in the debate over the validity of Hansen's CO2 hypothesis (which is what the scientific debate is really about, or should be) are those working directly in, and publishing in, this area of research. Logically this would include Ph.D. meteorologists, but not TV weatherpersons or all meteorologists certainly, and many atmospheric physicists. But, of course, the field is not strictly limited to these folks.

There are other scientists, such as myself, who have a passing interest in the CO2 hypothesis, and have read some of the original literature and studied the issue to some extent. We may be more knowledgeable than most, but our opinions don't really matter either. It is the ones working directly in the field, and publishing in that field, we should pay the most attention too.

Yeah, makes perfect sense. The federal government's employees should be considered to work for a business with fewer than 50 employees. If you say so.

"Scientists are part of the global conspiracy." Yeah right. The majority of scientists do not support AGW - at this point not a single day goes by where the theory is not further discredited with hard evidence.

There is only a small portion of vocal scientists actively focused on getting government grants by being on the looney political fringe and supporting "climate change". No serious scientist has respect for Mann and these other characters.
Thank you for using "AGW". We should all do that, because that's really what's meant by "climate change" in the context of anything controversial. AGW, by the way, is synonymous with what I refer to as the "Hansen Hypothesis" or the "Hansen CO2 Hypothesis".

America is run by smart people who manipulate the idiots. I suppose that means we still have a democracy in some respect, or they wouldn't have to bother.

You can govern autocratically, or by deceit.
