Ambushes of police up 139%, officers blame defund politicians

Ambush shootings of police have jumped 139%, and the top police union blames the anti-law enforcement rhetoric liberal politicians have spewed.

The Fraternal Order of Police released new numbers of attacks on men and women in blue, reporting 109 officers have been shot in 86 ambushes. Worse, 281 officers have been shot this year so far and 52 killed by gunfire.

“The demonization of the police has made our communities and law enforcement jobs less safe,” Yoes said. “Due to lingering animosity toward law enforcement officers, overheated political rhetoric, and a decline in respect for law and order — we are seeing an increase in violence that specifically targets officers. Despite the negative attitudes towards law enforcement by so many, officers still show up every single day and make a difference in the communities they serve."​

BTW,overall police funding is up,not down.

I was 19 and it happened at The Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner LA

We were arrested because one of my buddies got an attitude and started mouthing off to the cop.They were going to let us go with just seizing the IDs.No we didn't gamble we were brought to jail.Bailed out that night for 200.00.When me, my parents and lawyer met with The DA he agreed to drop all charges if the city could keep the 200.00

The fact that you had to go to court is ridiculous. The DA should of reinbursed your parents for your attorney fee’s.

I was wrong and caught so I didn't complain about it.The Casino were the assholes.When they took our IDs they asked all of us our date of birth,none of us knew it.They said if we didn't answer they could keep our IDs,we said no they couldn't.Thats when they called the cop who worked security.When he searched us 3 of us including myself had our real IDs on us.The Casino didnt want to press charges though.My dumbass friend actually thought the cop had to give him the fake ID back and started arguing with him about it.

We had to sign paperwork acknowledging we were banned from the casino and would be arrested for trespassing if we ever tried to go again.About a week after my 21st birthday I got a letter from the casino saying the ban was lifted and I was welcome to come.

I understand. The casino’s have to be extremely strict because the state can easily revoke their gaming liscense. They are always under scrutiny. The good news is you just got a fine amd no record.
