What are you talking about? "brush this off with ease"?!?!? This is "green shoots"!!!! Where the heck have you been for the last 18 monts? This means that Ambac stockholders will be free of that worrisome crap called, "capital" They will now be free to participate in other govt programs...like welfare!

An interesting question is where the banks have the Ambac-wrapped stuff marked... While I am sure that most have written their turds down to near zero (or hedged it), I wouldn't be too surprised if there are a few sneaky skeletons lingering in a few Wall St cupboards.
