At the moment, im reading Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith.

300 yrs ago, one blacksmith could make 1000 nails per day, a master - 2000.

A small team of 20, would reach up 100 000 and more.
(teamwork, productivity increased,less time wasted)


Theres no more , hand-made nails these days for sale.

But theres underwater oil rig divers and etc.

Simple evolution and for the better.

btw, amzn is doing NO miracles.
COSTCO revenue per emplyee = $600K
TARGET revenue per emplyee = $200K
AMZN revenue per employee = $360K

So it's somewhere between COSTCO and TARGET in terms of product sold/shipped per employee.

What that SAYS is that the "online model" is NOT any more efficient than brick and mortar!
Amazon KNOWS this, which is why they now keep trying to be a brick n mortar operation but with rip-off P/E multiples. Result? Adios AMZN !!

Where are the "drone deliveries" taking place?
They ended up buying 20,000 vans (with HUMAN drivers) to copy and screw fedex/ups.
They SCREW and ENSLAVE any "seller" who offers stuff on their platform.
Then they turn around and offer to LEND these people money to keep them ENSLAVED for even longer.
There is ONE positive though...their gargantuan size means that GOING FORWARD, their GROWTH rate will be same as GDP and they will find it very hard to extract ANY profit from that!

I agree with some of what you said. UPS and Fedex had some logistical issues too. They didn't screw them.

But you're right. Amazon does not like competition. That's for sure. FTC and the European regulation agencies aren't scared to drop the hammer. Look at MSFT back in the day.

FedEx did not walk away.
Amazon customers have complained so much about FedEx delays and lost packages that it was reflecting negatively on Amazon, besides costing them money. I also can’t stand FedEx and I’m also fed up with them, won’t use them unless I have to.

There is NO difference between Fedex and UPS (i've done business with both).
But at least Fedex stood up to "wannabe mini-me bezos" and told him to take a walk.
Fedex went with wally in arkansas instead (another cheapo).

But UPS...decided to take bezo's orders - to their detriment because at some point they'll cry uncle!

Don't believe the LIES american corporations put out...they are like the Chinese gov - HALF are lies and the other HALF are distorted truths!

#1 - MOST of the CRAP amazon sells is MADE IN CHINA.
#2 - The SAME Chinese amazon has brought over in the last 8 years are getting ready to POUNCE with their OWN websites ready to go....HUNDREDS of sites fully populated just waiting for an "amazon mis-step" or break-up.
#3 - there is NOTHING special about this crap business - they got LUCKY with the introduction of the CELL PHONE plus their "marketplace" in the last decade where MILLIONS of sheep decided it was ok to be fleeced using their cell phone to buy chinese crap from chinese sellers on amazon which FATTENED margins last few years.
Once this is all factored in and the "story" ends...what you think an ELECTRIC VAN is going to save their ass??
Heck, DHL just said the hell with electric crap...we're losing millions developing this shit.

These are ALL "feel good" stories - kool-aid for the dumb american public.
