Amazon EC2

Is anyone using (or considering using) Amazon EC2 for a trading based application (data analysis, ATS or something else) ?

If so, any initial thoughts on it?

It seems like a great option to get something up and running without all of the hassles of running a data center or worrying about connectivity etc.

I was just over there looking at it earlier this evening. The possibilities are there. There are already a good bunch of apps written. Nothing geared toward the trader however.

I've been playing with it quite a bit recently. I've been running a custom scanner on it, and it's worked well. I wouldn't recommend it if you're not technically inclined and not familiar with unix though. I wouldn't run an ATS on the cloud either.
