The nature of a conflict of interest often generates lots of activity to deflect attn.
URF has bragged about raising $100 million as an investment fund salesman with 35m coming as a direct result of his ET persona. Leaking the toothpaste might have seemed like a good idea at the time but I suspect he regrets it along with other things he's said and done in an attempt to be cool like Howard.
