If you are low on cash but have finally figured out a good TA strategy and have good discipline then there is no reason why you can not have a 6-figure account in 1 year --- starting out only with a few hundred as capital in the bucketshop fx world

GRG03002: Interesting idea. Do you happen to know where I can find out more about that kind of thing? Thanks.

Gcapman: Just wondering -- was that said in jest?

That's good....I have some swamp land in Florida for sale.

I heard that the futures trading companies based out of Chicago are a great place to look to if you don't want to go the equities route.

Yes, everything is possible, but it takes quite a genius to start from $2k and green to $100k in a year.

For that to happen, you need big leverage and a big edge. It is a dream....

two friends of mine are pro online poker players. Adam has made >2mm in the last 3 years playing high stakes heads up 'sngs' tens of thousands of matches. the other makes easy six figures multi-tabling mid stakes cash games using a heads up display to record stats on opponents and notes, thats his edge.

my own level would breakeven a small stake games, so i prefer trading. MUCH more interesting/ sophisticated than "high stakes" poker
